BEAD SHOP

 My Bead Gallery is a full service bead store specializing in gemstone beads, pearls, Swarovski crystal, sterling silver and seed beads. The Gallery has a beautiful selection of Thai, Tibetan, African and other eclectic beads that will be sure to make your creation stand out from the crowd. Expect great personalized service as well as all the tools and stringing materials you will need to make your own fabulous jewelry.

You can learn a variety of techniques including traditional pearl knotting, spaced knotting, and wire wrapping, and attend classes in peyote, herringbone, spiral weave and bead netting. Bring your work-in-progress on Wednesday afternoons to Open Bead Group, and swap tips and tricks with other beaders from the area!

Dana Rudolph has been designing and making jewelry for over 30 years in a variety of techniques. She has won awards for her work at various juried art and craft shows. She sells her jewelry at some of the finest museum shops,

galleries and boutiques. She believes in using the finest materials to create unique and beautiful jewelry. In 2003, she opened the wildly popular bead store called Dana Rudolph and Company in Troy, NY, and relocated to Florida in 2009.

The shop makes beautiful one of a kind designer pieces that will delight the wearer. Dana can custom design a piece just right for that special occasion. Her pieces range from high fashion elegance made of 22 karat gold and precious gems such as rubies, sapphires, chalcedonies and pearls, to everyday fashion pieces made from semi-precious gemstones and Swarovski crystals. Dana has recently concentrated in bead weaving techniques, and the results are stunning. You are sure to find exactly what you want at My Bead Gallery.

My Bead Gallery sells exquisite and unusual gifts and fashion accessories from around the world! The shop proudly carries items from Fair Trade companies and Tibetan refugees as well as hand crafted silver from the indigenous Hill Tribes of Thailand.

HISTORY

Dana opened her first jewelry shop in 1977 on Albany, NY’s historic Lark Street. She

worked as a silver and goldsmith, integrating precious and semi-precious stones in the work. She occupied several different storefronts on Lark St. during her ten years in operation there under the names After the Gold Rush and Rocket Rocket.

She returned to retailing in 2003, when she opened Dana Rudolph and Company in Troy, NY, and concentrated on creating bead jewelry and supplying other bead artists.

In 2009 she moved to beautiful, sunny Port Charlotte, Florida and opened the Rudolph/Alexander Gallery with buon fresco artist Cindylee Alexander. Dana’s bright new shop, My Bead Gallery, is located at 3671 S. Access Rd. (on CR 776, McCall Rd), Englewood, FL 34224.
